SLOTTED TOOL NR3

The Slotted tool is a basic tool in Quilling. The “Hartiko” slotted tool is the only winding tool in the market with a wooden handle (narrow at the bottom – wide at the top), designed specifically to allow you to create the basic “Circle” shape in multiple diameters.

The Nr.3 Slotted tool has a long handle for easy grip. It also consists of a long metal tip with a deep slot, ideal for paper strips up to 16mm wide.

It’s an ideal tool for the rotation of larger shapes with the use of wider paper strips.

How to use it: Place the tip of the strip in the slot to keep the paper steady. Hold the strip between your 2 fingers – thumb & index- and rotate the tool with your other hand. During the rotation, apply slight pressure on the paper in order to achieve the best, uniform rotation without allowing the spiral to loosen.
When you reach the end of the strip remove the spiral carefully so as not to distort the shape.
